SHE has just walked free from prison, and now, Patrizia
Reggiani is the focus of a new musical, set to be performed on the
London stage next weekend. Reggiani, who arranged a hitman to
murder her ex-husband and Gucci boss Maurizio Gucci in
1995, was quietly released last month and is currently working
for Italian accessories label Bozart as a part of her parole
conditions.
Entitled Mrs Gucci, the musical documents Reggiani's plight and sees British actress Julie Atherton take on the lead role. It has already received Stephen Fry's seal of approval - the author, actor and screenwriter tweeted last week: "Hear Mrs Gucci sing about the murder of her husband don't miss this unique 1 off performance starring @Julie_Atherton."
Reggiani, nicknamed The Black Widow, was spotted for the first time since her release shopping in Milan last week, making it entirely possible that the cast of Mrs Gucci could perform to Mrs Gucci.
Mrs Gucci will be performed at the Arts Theatre London on October 13.
